welcome Leaders!

Taking a step into leadership is an exciting time in your faith journey. Saying “yes” to God in this area, grows your faith and your influence for Jesus in the lives of others. As you become the leader God is calling you to be, together, we can grow teams that selflessly serve in a way that invites everyone into finding and following Jesus.

This page is designed to equip you with tools, to engage, serve, and break down barriers within your teams, as well as with our guests. These systems are designed to ensure Guest Services runs well at all campuses of The Ridge Community Church.

Guest Services are teams of people who reflect the hope of Jesus creating atmospheres people are drawn to.
We engage proactively. We connect authentically.

ORIENTATION

Someone taking a step to serve on a team is an exciting time for them. We honor that excitement by having a clear and consistent pathway for them to get connected. Knowing what’s covered in an orientation can help ensure a smooth hand-off of that team member onto your team.

ORIENTATION PROCESS

  1. Someone submits an online application to serve.
  2. A Guest Services director or coach schedules their orientation.
  3. At the end of orientation, new team members commit to serving by signing our Guest Services Pledge and filling out the Guest Services Team Commitment card to confirm a team and shift to serve.
  4. A team lead is emailed with the new team members contact information to begin the ‘on-boarding’ process.

ON-BOARDING A NEW TEAM MEMBER

Once a team lead has received a new team member's contact information, wait no more than three days to make contact. Here's a great example of a first-contact email

As you serve with your new team member for the first time, we want to make sure you both have the best possible experience. This system was designed to create connection and build community among team members. You can find the system here.

SCHEDULING AND CCB

One of the responsibilities of a Team Lead is scheduling through our church database, Church Community Builder (CCB). We would like to make this process clear and easy to follow. You can follow these steps below:

OUR PIPELINE

Our desire at The Ridge is to discover and grow leadership of the people serving on our teams. One of the ways we do that is through our leadership pipeline. Here you'll see the different levels of leadership we use, as well as the expectations of each role.

It’s exciting to notice team members who are showing consistent leadership within the team. When you see that from someone, it might be time for an ICNU conversation.
